My wife and I run several businesses, I work a full time job, my wife a part-time job. We have 2 young kids and 2 large, wild, and crazy dogs. We always look for new opportunities and adventures. It's all fun and exciting until you sometimes realize you've over-estimated your capabilities. We've recently purchased a house that ended up being an absolute complete renovation that wasn't expected. Life went from fast to blurry to dizzying. I was recommended this book by a friend and cannot explain how impactful it has been. The author seems to have experienced a similar life and has systematically developed real, tangible, and easily implemented strategies. Obviously, someone looking for help of life's overload isn't looking for a long book to read or course to take. This book is exceptionally digestible and organized. This is so appreciated as it lends to quick reads in the morning and easy daily take-aways. I often found myself flipping back and referencing tips outlined in earlier sections. This is a book that has literally changed the way my days start and end. That has resulted in profound differences in my stress, mental clarity, even relationships with my kids and wife. I was half-expecting another self-help book that told me what I already knew. This is not the same, it's a practical application for slowing down my high-idling life to a calmer speed, and I'm actually more productive. Slow-down to speed-up would certainly apply here. After I read this, my wife wanted to read it, then my in-laws, etc. I simply can't recommend this enough if you are in similar shoes as we are.
