I purchased this product under the assumption it was new, but upon arrival and inspection I can see visibly that it has a few bent fin vents, I would not expect to see such imperfections or damages to a new product. This causes concern that I have received a refurbished item rather than the NEW item advertised! I am hoping that this is the only damage and that it was done by poor handling during manufacturing. Considering the amount of work it is going to take to install the item into the car (the entire dash and instrument panel has to be removed then to replace the core, we must attempt the very difficult process of using a grinder, or reciprocator saw in a very small space because a manufacturers steel bracket specifically used for the mechanical assembly process of my car's make and model must be cut and removed while being careful not to damage anything else in the space) it would be very upsetting to complete the install only to find that the core is defective and fails to work properly!I am going to trust those Amazon quality assurances will hold true and if it comes to the need to return and replace the core in the future they will stand to their customer satisfaction policy!
