Ill update this review if it doesn't go well in few months when it gets cold. But I have two of these on LML duramax one on the engine one on the allison. The pads heat up quick like not touchable within 2 sec. All these customers saying its crap is improper installation. Use a degreaser like simple green, then prep surface with rubbing alcohol. Next place the pad. Then use round object like maglight and Roll it on with all force you got. Next Order the caulking gun version of JB weld High temp sealant and gun if you dont have one. The bead around perimeter of pad need to be 1/2 inch on pad and 1/2 inch off the pad, thickness i would say about 1/16 to 1/8 of inch. Make sure this is important....the seam when your going from pan to pad is also that thickness dont just run your finger over it and let pad protrude. Then seal the area where cord comes out so it cant move by the pad. Zip tie the cable so its not banjo tight but not flooping around in the wind. If this pad is installed correctly you wont have issues, if you dont do it right ya its going to break either at cord to pad or fall off.Update:Like I said before it's been about 3 months now, correct installation is key here. Both are still attached with no issues. Take your time and do it right. If it falls off which I dont see happening I will let you know with update. Another thing keep in mind I wouldnt use it above 50F. These things get real hot, 50F + doesn't really warrant use of these. (Could also be issue of people's pads falling off)
