This are very sturdy hangers. Clothing stays in place but it does not save space as many claim. Avoid them for tee shirts with crew collars. it is difficult to take them off the hanger. Works great for womens clothing. This brand is the best. I had problems with hangers purchased from discount stores; some broke or bent. I previously purchased a box before at Costco(same brand) but at a much lower price. I am not sure if they are a regular product they carry. This is the second box I purchased but the first through Amazon. The vendor was very responsive but I was very disappointed with Amazon. Amazon offered me a 30 day trial for Amazon.com Prime which is an offer for free shipping(yearly cost of $79), presented an invoice with shipping costs of $0.00 when I was at the check-out counter phase, noted my product was eligible for Amazon.com Prime(free shipping for regular shipping route or $3.99 for one day). When I received the invoice from the vendor I was charged $14.99 for shipping. It was not the vendors fault. I contacted the vendor who explained they had nothing to do with Prime. I contacted Amazon by email and presented my complaint and was sent an email that if the product was shipped by a third party there was a fee. I responded to Amazon that they showed there was no shipping cost with my charges/statement at the Checkout phase and that the statement of charges noted that "this item was eligible for free shipping". So I continued with the purchase. Unfortunately I did not print Amazons quoted price9written invoice/statement)with $0.00 shipping cost so I had no evidence to present. I ask for the print out but they have not responded and it has been 7 days. My experience is that Prime is a rip off and be very careful if they offer it to you.As far as the vendor i would not hesitate to buy from them.We bought these hangers to replace the mish mash of hangers in our closet in order to fit more clothes and have it be more uniform. The hangers are definitely thinner and allow clothes to fit in the closet closer together since they are all flat on the side. These hangers also look much nicer even when there are no clothes hanging on them. They don't get tangled up like other hangers, so it's easier to grab a free hanger to hang your clothes on without having to wrestle with a mess of other hangers. The one concern I have is that some of the hangers broke when the metal hook would come off if the clothes were too heavy, such as if I hung jeans or a heavy coat on them, so I just use heavier duty hangers for those items, since the thin profile of the hanger doesn't really matter for bigger clothes. Other than that, I'm very satisfied with these hangers, and wouldn't hesitate to purchase them again.I 1st was introduced to these hangers @ Walmart who sold them 4/$3 (I'm thinking)and was mainly interested in them because my silk tanks & blouses were always sliding off the hangers. I agree 100% w/all the other consumer reviews that had nothing but positive things to say regarding these hangers ...non-slip, space saving, attractive in appearance ...etc.When I received my Amazon order it was comprised of about $85 worth of these "Ultra Slim Velvet Hangers" ...being filled by (2) different Amazon stores. The 1st part of my order was filled by this Amazon product (store #1) & the 2nd portion of my order was filled by a different Amazon store (#2) who offered the hangers in suit & shirt style hangers in various bright colors.I immediately noticed a "substantial" difference between Amazon Store #1 (this product) & Amazon Store #2 ...I measured the thickness of the hangers & much to my surprise these hangers (50 Ultra Thin Velvety Smooth Space Saving Hangers) were 1/8" thicker than the hangers I received from Amazon store #2.Amazon Store #1 (this product) = 1/4" thick / Amazon Store #2 = 1/8" thick.Bottomline: Between mine & my hubby's closet we need more hangers & will be coming back to purchase these 50 Ultra Thin Velvet Hangers ...by far, they are the best buy & quality.I almost ordered these hangers from HSN for a Todays Special but decided to check with old reliable Amazon.com first, and found them there to be less than offered at HSN. HSN was including a lot of extra stuff I did not want, hooks, covers, coupons etc. So I placed the order with Amazon. I was shoping at Costco the following day and they had the same exact hangers for 1/2 the Amazon price, so I cancled the order and bought the ones at Costco. I must say though that I had no problem returning the items to Amazon and got a full refund very quickly. Just goes to show, no matter how good things look, you have to shop around to save some money. My wife and daughter love the hangers! The other reviews are right, I should have given 5 stars for the product itself, although as I said It was very easy to return the itens to Amazon, and they should get at least 4 stars for that!I read the reviews and was skeptical, but my mother had these hangers (although she paid more money for the Joy Mangano brand). My hangers arrived today and both myself, and my husband, are speechless! I went from a home with a walk-in-closet to a tiny cape cod closet. I bought these hangers and let me tell you- they work WONDERS! The only thing I regret is buying just one pack of 50. So many clothes fit in my tiny closet that I have room for at least another 100! Now I haven't owned them long enough to comment if they do make a diffenence on maintaining proper shape throughout the shoulders and such, but I can say they do grip my spaghetti strap tops VERY well and the construction seems excellent. I'll be buying more come pay day!UPDATE: I paid $33 for these from Amazon less than 6 months ago and now the price is $50! NEARLY $20 MORE! I wanted to order another set but forget it- they were already cheaper at Bed, Bath and Beyond when the price was $33 let alone $50! VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS and I won't be buying now!
