When the Michigan winter recently hit, it brought some very cold weather with it and that makes the garage very cold to perform general tasks. I wanted something that is geared for the outdoors and would be a suitable fit for the garage. This item certainly fit the bill and for the price I think you get quite a bit for the money. What comes in the package is a stand, the heater, remote, and installation hardware. The instructions were not great outlining the install on the tripod, however, they were very clear for wall mounting this item. Bear in mind this item is an infrared heater, it gets warm very fast although there’s no fan to blow the air around. That being said it’ll take some time to heat up your space depending on how large of an area you’re covering. I really like the fact that this can be wall mounted or put on the tripod to move it around. You’ve got two heat settings along with a timer if you want it to run and shut off after a certain period of time. I’ll make note that the name badge on the unit is extremely sharp and cut my hand when I was wiping this down. It does a great job putting out heat even in the dead of winter. Overall I’m very pleased with this item and happy to have it as part of my equipment for the garage. Give it a try!
