I originally had a fireplace on the table it was a lot larger but it was over 10 years old and it's old and it finally burned out and I saw this one on Amazon it seemed a lot smaller which I was glad to see and very modern so I bought it and it's wonderful it does everything you can use the timer you can set it on a particular degree you can make it brighter or dimmer my daughter feels that she likes it better she thinks it looks sharper in the bedroom so I'm very happy with the product and now I'm nice and cozy in the Winter up in my bedroomThe instructions offer the option for mounting to 1, 2 or 3 studs but anything beyond one stud is physically impossible assuming they are 16" apart. The single bracket you receive is exactly the length for the center hole to be on the stud and just short enough to not make it to the other 2 studs...meanwhile, the diagrams for the double and triple stud mounting are sized for completely different mounting brackets that are not included in the assembly kit.That being said the unit works well and I was able to successfully mount it to the wall using the center single stud. I hope I never have to come here to explain how it crashed falling off my wall.This fireplace is very pretty but also very noisy when heat is on. Also there is no indicator on the front of the fireplace if you want to set the timer, I guess you just have to keep track in your head how many times you click the button. My other fireplace has an indicator that lights up on the front when your using different settings that makes it so easy to know what your settings are on but this one does not. I’ve thought about contacting the seller about the noise but it’s such a pain to box it back up and take it to a return center, it’s not excessively heavy but still big and heavy enough for me to have to fool with.I like the fireplace but no remote came with it, can you please send one.I guess this is my fault for waiting so long to open this up but it was a good behavior surprise for my son who really wanted a fireplace (I know, why couldn’t he just want another paw patrol toy?) He was so excited to see it and help me open the box up! He helped me set it up and was over the moon for the 30 minutes that it worked. It heated the room up nicely, and was pretty to look at, I had no complaints at all. But then the next day the “remote stopped working”. I checked the side and found buttons there, also didn’t work. Unplugged and plugged it back in, nothing. So heartbreaking after building the excitement up for this thing. Photo of my son trying to troubleshoot ways to get the new fireplace to work again.
