Lisa had me at “this type of leadership is less about doing something, or bringing something, or making something happen than it is about being something; a conscious, confident, skilled, joyful, prepared facilitator.”One of my favorite things I walked away from reading this book is Lisa’s suggestion to start an ‘Ideas Seed Journal.’ While I do have a journal where I capture ideas for workshops, it’s also filled with so many other things that don’t relate. Her suggestion to get “a journal/notebook that has a spine—like your physical body, the purpose for the book structure is given to holding the heart of everything it contains; all the seeds of your project.”Right after finishing, I got a journal with birds on the cover (as you can see in the photo) because it was my symbolism to let my song be heard because we ALL have wisdom to share. If we want to bring our best selves to the game of inspiring and encouraging others, Lisa’s book is THEE book to read. With every turn of the page, I was growing more and more excited, laughing (as she has a wicked sense of humor), and feeling my heart expand in all the possibilities.I know I’ll return to this book again and again!
