I've had 7 of these units in a mountain home that first served as our primary heating source. Over time they became a 2nd source. For 10 years they worked perfectly. I purchased one for our new home but this time I purchased from the manufacturer. The unit arrived and I could hear it rattle around in the package. When I opened it up the front panel was scratched in a few places and the grills were bent. Amazon put me in touch with the manufacturer but I never could get them to return a call. Needing the heat I straightened the grills and installed the unit. I still can't get a return call so I will have to repair the damage myself. I doubt the warranty is of any value when the company won't return calls. Hope I don't have issues down the road.The unit works well but is constructed of very cheap sheet metal. Be careful installing it because the sharp edges can cut you. I wouldn't really recommend this product - there are better alternatives out there.UPDATE: I was finally able to contact the company and their representative came to my rescue. When I explained that the product was damaged and that I needed a replacement front grill she didn't hesitate to offer a new one at no charge. I received the replacement 2 days later and it is perfect. I'm totally satisfied.
