Works amazing for refrigerant bottles when needing to add refrigerant in the cold weather. I’m in the AC field and this thing has saved me numerous of timesI almost melted a hole in my carpet testing this out when I first received it. I bought it to loosen up my Fluid Film after I scooped it into a metal bucket. It has the ability to liquefy it completely. So if you have something in a metal bucket that you want to heat up, this will do it for sure. Good quality cord, and a dial thermostat. All of it seems to work as you would expect. Be careful. It gets HOT.Used to warm up glue.It made it possible to spread glue before it set up.I use it to cover an area in the boat transom to keep it warm -- then the epoxy can cure properly in the cold weather. This allows me to fix my boat even though overnight temperature has dropped below the recommended temperature for curing epoxy. I use duct-tape and wood block to keep it stick to the surface to keep the surface warm.I bought this to keep a honey extractor warm during extraction in a cool garage. The fact you can control the temperature was a key feature. Worked exactly as I had hoped and kept the honey flowing out of the extractor!Fits well, made well, seems to be working as it is intended. Works around a plastic barrel as well.Item worked for a couple weeks with sporadic use. While plugged in, *but turned off*, randomly started arcing for about 10 seconds, resulting in the picture and a room of smoke. Plug in wall was hot while unplugging. Lucky someone was home and no electrical fire was started.Works great! Heats up steel drum quickly, safe to use overnight.
