I received the heater kit 5 days earlier than expected shipping date which was awesome. All the parts were in the kit as advertised and the only thing you should need are some common household drill bits and a gallon of 50/50 premixed antifreeze. It was nicely packaged. The instructions are decent (enough to figure everything out along with watching a youtube video on an install to clarify a couple things) but this kit is not for someone that is not mechanically inclined. Plan on 5-6 hours for installation. Take your time and follow the directions, read 2-3 times and drill once. Once the kit was completely installed, the fit and finish was extremely nice and hidden out of the way. I opted to change the location of the shut-off valve for ease of access (directions said to place under the drivetrain center tunnel, I opted to put it back farther so I could access it by the battery instead. The only negatives I experienced were the one black wire clip: I was unable to get 3 of the wires to lock into place, even after rotating 180 degrees several times and the other issue was the holes for the mount for the 2 vents for under the dash were too big and the vents were unable to snap and lock into place like they should. I was able to tighten them up good enough when installing the hose on the back with some extra zip ties. Once I burped the system, the heat started flowing. The heat is impressive and since we use our Ranger mostly during the winter, having this kit will be a game changer for sure. The reason I opted to go for this kit was primarily because it had a thermostat bypass which allows antifreeze to start running thru the heater before the thermostat reaches temp and opens up which means you get heat faster. It was a pain to access the thermostat to install but totally worth the extra 45 min it took to install it. Overall, great kit, great quality and if you are looking for serious heat, this is the kit for you!.
