I like that this actually works for me. I live in a RV full-time. I had a leaky RV hot water heater. I found that It was more economical to replace my built in RV hot water heater with this. I do not need the propane that is part of my built-in Hot water heater. This does NOT blow my 15 amp fuse. That was a major concern. I moved my pex pipe and electric to a cabin that is in a different spot as it will not fit into the small space where the old hot water was. Make sure the 1/2 connections are wide enough to fit over the ntp plastic connections the are on the camplux. I found that what I had which is correct 1/2 NTP but I needed to go and get a different connection as I could not thread over the plastic threads to wide for my 1/2 NTP, Just check that first as what I had you could easily put over a aluminum connection on the stock tank. That is not a show stopper and it took no time to find what fit. What I found was this. My old hot water heater using electric only, this is the compare. It was a 6 gallon tank. This one from Camplux is a 6.5 Gallon heater. I picked this because I need a high temperature, such as 135 Fahrenheit. I only care really about hot water and showers. The old hot water was at 140 degrees set and you can not change it unless you buy new parts. So I could take a 10-minute hot shower. You just have to in the RV get used to turning the cold on to about 90 percent and 10 percent hot water, and it works like any other shower. You of course can not in any way stand under pure hot water. So would this work for a shower, I hoped. I hooked everything up. What I was really happy about is that the Camplux is insulated very well and no heat comes off of it. Most RV hot water heaters use Styrofoam as the insulator. It looked like a igloo cooler as that's standard as well as feeling the heat just come off of the built in heater just float into the house . I also picked this because you can turn the temperature to MAX which is 135 Degrees as far as my thermometer is showing. This allows for a long shower as cold showers well are not fun. So with the Camplux I can take the exact same shower. My thoughts are no heat is coming off this Camplux heater as its well insulated. It has a light that comes on when its heating. So far the light is off most of the time and that tells me it's not struggling to maintain my temperature I need. NO fuses are blowing as stated 1400 what's which is under my 15 amp limit. I also decided to add a few new filters in front of my water supply as I apparently have iron in my water as the old hot water tank was full of the orange material. After a few weeks now, I am happy. For those who need to use the Hot water as a main shower in the RV this works great as it is very close to what is already installed. Can not say how happy I am that this holds up to what I had that is broke now my old hot water tank it had a slow leak and after months I figured it out. Also the recovery time is pretty fast just as well as the old heater.
