It's exactly as described. Stylish, a great way to heat a room while adding ambiance.I got this heater to use for the gym where we practice at we use them to heat up the gym It really doesn't heat up the whole gym but it does heat up the small area they be in well worth the buy.The heater looks great and I like the flickering fire effect but it is noisy making a clicking sound as it turns.Very strong space heater! Apart from a couple of bedrooms and bathrooms, most of our upstairs, including living room, dining room and kitchen, are all one area. This heater has the power to heat the entire main area. It will be a while before I get the power bill, so I'm not sure about the cost of this versus using natural gas to heat the entire house with the furnace. This heater has a low and high setting, as well as a fan function. If you press the mode button one more time after the high setting, it allows you to set your temperature for when you want it to shut itself off. Also has tip over protection and a power switch on the back that you can turn off for extra protection, in case you want to keep this plugged in. It has a pretty wide base that you have to attach yourself and it's pretty hard to tip over, especially on hardwood floors. The heat comes out of the upper half of the unit. The bottom part has a realistic looking fake fire feature which is pretty cool. This also oscillates and has a timer that can be set in 1 hour increments. Buttons on the top of the heater are easy to use and there is also a remote included. I've gone through a lot of space heaters over the years and I've never had one better than this one. There are a lot of things that I like about this heater, I think it’s a perfect blend between a fireplace and standalone space heater. Its fire graphics are just enough to be entertaining and not distracting. I like that the cylindrical design allows it to be put out of the way when not used. And finally, that it has the modern control features, such as a remote and digital display. Because of the above mentioned attributes, it has become are obvious choice for our Livingroom. This heater is so loud. The fan just blows & blows. The heat output is not that great as I thought it would be. I do like the temp setting but the loudness of it is disturbing. Also I dont like that you have to turn a switch off & on in the back inorder to use the power button. Doesn't make sense. Also when the power button is off it still laminates the letters OF, which is annoying. You have to turn the switch off in the back for it to go away.. The best thing is the little fire loud which just for show.
