This is an excellent water connector. It is sturdy, and does not contain harmful chemicals. I bought these to replace some braided flex connectors I had, which are not very durable and contain PVC.The main difference when installing the Eastman is that you need to be a bit more precise as it is a corrugated connector. This is what I did:0) Of course... close the main water valve, let some water go out of the system, shut off the water heater gas valve1) Molded the shape of the Eastman connectors before installing them. Made sure the turns were as wide as possible, no kinks or sharp angles2) Pushed the rubber gaskets at the ends of each connector to make sure made sure they were correctly in place3) Made sure that the silver end of the connectors were well aligned with the nipples as I was hand tightening each of them (very important)4) Carefully tighten all connections with a wrench (less is more :-) ) just until feeling they were a little tight5) Open the main water valve6) If a connection drips, you slowly tighten it a bit more until it stops.I like that this connector is fully stainless, they are painted outside (red, blue), but there is no epoxy on the inside. Other items such as the braided flexible water heater connectors do not last long, can leak and have questionable chemicals like PVC inside. This item should be the cleanest and most durable option.
