Used with 10 year old GE refrigerator, which we were thinking of replacing because of frozen water line and warming of the refrigerator part. After searching on the google and watching youtube videos, thought of giving a try and replace the heater, which was easy to reach and replace. This one looked the same as old one, and is still working after few months.I found cheaper versions, but i heard they may not last long, and also are a fire hazard.Got this product really fast, and it was really easy to assemble, the only really downside where I had to downgrade this from a 5 star was because it was made in China, which I knew it had to be because it's impossible to find products made from a reputable country.I really can't say much about this item because we don't need it. My husband ordered it and it came, but before we used it we purchased a new refrigerator. I didn't realize that he didn't return it and now they won't take it back. If anyone needs one of these, let me know and I'll give you a deal.Local shop wanted $68 for the same part, so this was a no brainer. Works as expected. Looks like, and was marked like a genuine part. Was slightly wider than original, but I made it fit with a few bends. My 15 year old fridge is back up and running. This saved me at least $1100 for a new fridge... for now.This is the 2nd time I've replaced the defrost heater.
