In the direction of the southern heavens lies HYDRA-Centaurus, a huge cluster made of millions of stars. The gravitational power of this concentrated mass with a diameter of about 300 light years influences the movement of many galaxies, including our Milky Way. We are heading towards Hydra-Centaurus, which is about 147 million light years away from us. The expansion of the universe in accordance with the Hubble-Law, is disturbed by this point of gravitional power. A "Rendezvous in Space" between neighbouring and distant galaxies is therefore programmed for the future. Jens Buchert - alias HYDRA - born 1969, in the year the first steps were made on the moon, understands it perfectly to give this vision a "Soundtrack". "Rendezvouz in Space" is Cybermusic, Electronic Trance, that accompanies one through space and time. As a young boy, he received a classical piano and organ education and as a 14-year old, he made his first experience with an Analogsythesizer Chroma (Bit One). With 16, he founded the duo Magic Noire. The music being some where between the sounds of Kraftwerk, DAF and Severed Heads - meaning New Wave and Electronic Head Music. Jens Buchert was composer, keyboarder and singer. After Magic Noire, there were several other projects, before he decided to dedicate himself completely to electronic music. In 1997 the project HYDRA was created and, different to his previous projectsm he decided to work without the use of natural sounds. By doing so, he created new sounds of the 5th Dimension. These sounds develope a new acoustic micro cosmos and underlined by different arrangements, a journey into the future is beginning.
