This product is truly awesome I can hear my food and eat it like if I had just cooked it on the stove. It gets extremely hot. My husband takes it for his lunch to work.Product came in good condition. I filled it up to about halfway, and then started heating it up. I knew it would take 30-45 minutes but once an hour passed, the food wasn’t hot, it was only warm. I was hoping it’d be hotter by then. Maybe I put too much food, but if halfway is too much food then it’s not the right product for me especially since the container isn't too big either. If you don’t eat much and you’re okay with your food only being warm, then go ahead and buy the product. This lunch box has a stainless pan insert that can be lined with aluminum foil and then meat wrapped in aluminum foil can be heated with no mess inside of 30 minutes from freezer pack cool to hot enough to burn your fingers. The foil transfers a measured 135 F . I HAVE ONLY USED IT TWICE SO FAR so durability cannot be attested too. The one draw back is the lid is quite difficult seat properly and close all four snaps . I predict breaking one or more of the clamps as they are cheap plastic but I don't think they are necessary to heat food on a level surface , even liquid. It is not a pressure cooker so it does not need to seal.On a side comment have you noticed that the products you get badgered to write early reviews for are the ones you are most likely to update when they fail where as other products that fail might go unscathed review wise?Bought in Nov 2017. Gets really hot so watch how long you leave it plugged in. Over 30 minutes and cooked rice will start to scorch and bread will get burnt and stuck on the pan bottom (all will clean out fine with some soaking or scrubbing). The size is perfect as it fits in several soft sided lunch bags which allow drinks and other items to go into a single bag to carry. Since it heats to a high temperature and the body is plastic, I've noticed the plastic clasps that keep it shut no longer fit well and one broke off after about 4 weeks. The unit still shuts well enough with one clasp broken. Now in Sep 2018, a second clasp broke. this one didn't fall off like the first one, but just no longer reaches the other end's notch for the clasp to work. The lid still stays on okay (it just rides in the car trunk and gets carried in the lunch bag). Pretty sure the lid will not stay on if I lose 3 of the 4 clasps so I looked for an alternative and can't find one of the same size and utility of having one large cooking area (you can always add mini-baking aluminum trays if you need to divide things inside this warmer). We have warmers with built-in dividers and they just don't hold as much and are harder to clean. So, despite the cheap clasp breaking issues, I'm ordering another one of these and hope the durability of the clasps have improved over the last year.I use this for eating my meals in order to keep the food warm while I eat. It takes only 1 interruption to end up with a cold plate of food. Actually, I wish someone would invent an ordinary plate the you could put hot water inside it to kieep the food warm. But this device works pretty well for that purpose.I wish the company that made this had a parts list because I would like to by some spare parts for it.Great little product for heating your lunch. I think it would also work as a mini crock pot to serve dip at a party. There is a removable metal container, but I think that would be hard to keep clean. So, what I do is use the plastic container from Stouffers frozen meals. These wash up easily, and are readily replaced. This lunchbox has worked great for heating frozen meals, soups, canned pasta, even a ham & cheese sandwich. The food definitely gets hot enough. I put some macaroni and cheese in it, and the cheese was bubbling away after an hour. The only negative thing I have to say is that the spoon is more the size of an infant feeding spoon. You're going to want to have adult size spoons around, especially for soup.I work in a clinic and my lunch time can vary some depending on my clinic schedule. If I happen to eat at 12 pm, this is peak use of microwave time which I hate to heat my food up at this time. With this lunch box, I just plug it in and heat my food while I’m seeing patients. It doesn’t let any odors of the food out unless you take the lid off the box.I like my food piping hot so I have to leave it on for 1 hr which is why I’m giving it 4 stars vs 5 stars. Plus, I do line the metal container with aluminum foil for easier clean up.I work in construction. If you do as well, you know that a hot meal on a cold day is worth its weight in gold. Whatever you bring into work to eat, plug this in roughly 30mins prior and your food will be just as hot as it came out of the microwave without it having the microwave taste or texture. This is nice solution when one has no access to microwave oven but it takes very long to warm up your food. Plug it in when you arrive to office then at noon food will be warm enough to consume. It will never become really hot.Lo usaré para el retorno a la ofc en 15 días! Súper practico por todas las medidas de seguridad que tendremos con la PandemiaMuy satisfecha con el producto, me llego en tiempo y forma..
